OUR STORY

Elmore Medical Vein & Laser Treatment Center was established in 1990 by Frederick A. Elmore, M.D.

At that time, and for the next 13 years, it was the only full-time vein specialty medical practice between Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay area.

It all started when…

The seed was planted in 1977 when Dr. Elmore decided to focus on varicose veins as his special interest. Dr. Elmore became trained in compression sclerotherapy, a nonsurgical method of treating veins developed in Europe. In 1990 Dr. Elmore decided to devote himself full time to treating vein problems and founded Elmore Medical Vein & Laser Treatment Center.

In early 2011, Mario H. Gonzalez, M.D. joined the practice. Dr. Gonzalez has been in medical practice since 1989. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor with the University of California, San Francisco. He served as Chief of Staff at Community Medical Centers for the six years preceding. He decided to devote his practice full time to Phlebology (varicose veins & venous problems) and joined the staff at Elmore Medical Vein & Laser Treatment Center. Dr. Gonzalez' vast experience has proven to be an asset to the practice of Elmore Medical.

Today…

In September 2003, Joan Hill, RN joined the Elmore Medical Team. Since then, she has become one of the most sought-after spider vein specialists in the Central Valley. In August 2011, Dr. Gonzalez purchased the practice from Dr. Elmore upon his retirement. Since its founding in 1990, Elmore Medical Vein & Laser Treatment Center has become the premier vein specialty medical practice in Fresno, and in the entire Central Valley of California.
