Dr. Mario H. Gonzalez, M.D., F.A.C.S
Board-Certified Vein Specialist
Dr. Mario Gonzalez received his medical degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 1983. He completed a five-year general surgical residency at Valley Medical Center in Fresno, CA, a satellite training program of UCSF, followed by a fellowship in Trauma Surgery.
After becoming Board Certified in general surgery in 1989, he went into private practice in Fresno. He was invited to join the Fellowship of American College of Surgeons and served on the interviewing panel of the local chapter for ten years.
Professional Achievements
Dr. Gonzalez is an Assistant Clinical Professor with the University of California, San Francisco and served as Chief of Staff at Community Medical Centers for six years. He decided to devote his practice full time to Phlebology (varicose veins & venous problems) and is a diplomat for the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine.

Joan has been a Registered Nurse since 1980 and a Family Nurse Practitioner for over two decades. She joined the Elmore Medical team in 2003. She is an expert sclerotherapist and a member of the American Vein & Lymphatic Society.

Ellen has been a Registered Nurse since 2010 and a Family Nurse Practitioner sine 2019. Prior to joining the team at Elmore Medical, she assisted patients in various hospital and community settings.
